Just enjoyed Edred's excellent discussion of the Fylgia in RFR # 23.  For those interested in further exploring this aspect of the Self in a practical manner, using concepts and techniques drawn from Germanic Folk tradition, some of these may be found here.

Operative work with the various subtler aspects of the Self is a vital part of the greater Work of the Gild, both in terms of the re-invigorating of the Germanic Tradition, and in terms of the work of Self-Initiation.  As Edred suggests, finding and becoming familiar with your Fetch is a powerful step towards truly Becoming Who You Are...
