Why I Make The Music That I Make

Over the years I have had some strange, hilarious, confused and wonderful remarks made about the Music I create. "It's Medieval Techno!" said the wide-eyed one. "It's engaging" said the safe one. "It's Genius" said the Wise one. "What the f$%k is THAT?!" remarked the confused one. "It's good, but it's ****!" (really) said the drunken one. "It sounds like Chinese Music" said the stoned one. It's perhaps time to explain...

Knowledge x Experience = a Greater Understanding.
Knowledge - Experience = a lesser understanding.
Experience - Knowledge = a catastrophe and/or a very hard lesson learnt.

A Guinness Working (A Gift from Ireland)

I - Go to a bar and order a pint of Guinness. Ask for it in a "Guinness Glass". If you are successful, you should receive a strange, black potion.

II - Consider the creamy ‘head’ at the top of the Guinness. This represents what you currently know about yourself.

III - Consider the black underneath the creamy head of the Guinness. This represents what you currently DON’T know about yourself.

IV - Lift the glass up and attempt to see through the blackest liquid you will probably ever partake of. Look at the Black and consider the ratio between what you currently DO know and DON’T know about yourself.

V - Look at the word ‘GUINNESS’. Look for the hidden word 'GENIUS'.

VI - Take a healthy drink of your pint of Guinness. As you do, consider the word ‘GENIUS’ and what it means to you. Feel that you are drinking in, and to, your very own Genius.

VII - Enjoy the experience of this strange, black substance and experience its unique taste – one like no other liquid you will ever drink. Utter to yourself "Hail Set, The Prince of Darkness! I drink in Black Essence and it flows through every fibre of my Being! May I discover the hidden secrets to who I AM."

VIII - While you drink your pint of Guinness, consider these words;

"I am within and beyond you, the Highest of Life, in majesty greater than the forces of the Universe; whose eyes are the Face of the Sun and the Dark Fire of Set; who fashioned your intelligence as his own and reached forth to exalt you; who entrusted to you dignity of consciousness; who opened your eyes that you might know beauty; who brought you the key to knowledge of all lesser things; and who enshrined in you the Will to Come Into Being. Lift your voices, then, and recognize the Highest of Life who thus proclaims your triumph; whose being is beyond natural life and death; who came as a flame to your world and enlightened your desire for perfection and truth. Arise thus in your glory, behold the genius of your creation, and be prideful of being, for I am the same - I who am the Highest of Life"

Idad has recently of its own volition, become prominent in my thoughts - so much that it would be foolish to ignore a message from the Cosmos.

Idad is a few of great transformation which has an Essence and Current that takes a person to the Core-Self. This is a journey only for the brave, for the revelation of the Self means confronting all aspects of your Being. It is of no surprise that Idad is closely associated with the Deity Lugh - a Champion and Master of many skills (he wasn't known as "the shining one" for nothing). It is in the spirit of Lugh we strive for mastery over the many aspects of ourselves.

Idad has an association with the Yew, a tree commonly found in cemetarys and graveyards, giving it a inherent link with death. Idad's transformatory Essence will by process bring about a Death of something.

Be warned. When Idad raises its head, begin contingency planning. If we view our lives as unique individual pools of water on a landscape, the emergence of Idad equates to a very large rock being dropped into our own pool of calm waters (stasis). This action will create waves of disturbance which will through time settle again to calmer waters - however the water-level is now much higher because of the presence of the rock resting beneath the surface.
