Celebrate to Host a Free Family Fun Day at King’s Lynn

Celebrate King’s Lynn is back on Saturday, July 23 with a day filled with completely free family fun at The Walks near downtown, courtesy of the town’s Christian community.

Celebrate is an enthusiastic collaboration of approximately 15 participating churches and Christian organizations, setting up a stage, booths and marquees to provide fun, games and refreshments for all to enjoy from 12pm to 5pm. “Community Blessing Through Church Unity” is the slogan for the day.

Organizer Olivia O’Neill said: “I am very pleased with the response to organizing this year’s Celebrate event and have been overwhelmed by the generosity of local churches who have given their time, energy and their resources to ensure that this year’s event takes place.

“We have an amazing lineup on the main stage with drummers, The Kings Glory Choir, Line Dancing and radical musicians entertaining us, so it should be fun.”

Included will be drumming workshops, mini Olympics, children’s games, music, free health checks, free refreshments, hand massages, gladiator and sumo costumes and a bouncy castle.

Groups and churches that will be in attendance include: St Johns, The Kings Glory, Bridge For Heroes, Norfolk Healing Rooms, Radical Church with its Big Blue Bus, Church of the Nazarene, Christian Motorbike Association, the Kings Centre, clown Sally Beadle – Crazy Bananas, Seventh Day Adventists, Evangelical Church and St Faiths Church.

Celebrate King’s Lynn still needs more financial support for the event. If you can help or would like more information about the event, please email [email protected] or visit:
