The 26-year-old innovative Grammy-nominated songwriter and phenomenal performer on the rise to rock royalty with the release of new blooda timeless concoction of swagger rock and supersonic soul, drawing on his most stadium-like rock influences.

King recently announced a massive US tour, with HERE dates through September and October 2022 supporting the release of his upcoming solo album, new blood. He will bring his stadium-sized sound to acclaimed venues across the United States, including two nights at venues such as New York’s Beacon Theater and Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Neal Francis and Ashland Craft support select dates, and the tour is hosted by comedian Dean Del Ray. Tickets are on sale now HERE and a full list of dates, including summer festivals in Europe and shows with Greta Van Fleet, follow below.

new blood is an album about looking at hard times in your rearview mirror, its stories of excess, salvation, breakup and addiction, are inspired by difficult and personal times. Despite difficult personal circumstances, King did his most accomplished job to date. One of his biggest fans, Dan Auerbach, raved. “Music is so deeply in Marcus’ blood that he may not even realize how born he was to do this. He’s the real deal.”

King has been an outlier from the very beginning. A fourth-generation musician from Greenville, SC, who learned the guitar at the age of 3 with his blues rock musician father, Marvin King. He went through difficult school years to quickly become one of the most promising young artists of our time. He followed his resounding success with The Marcus King Band, with his Auerbach-produced debut solo album in 2020, Eldorado. It earned a GRAMMY® Award nomination for “Best Americana Album” and critical acclaim from the New York Times on the weekend edition of NPR. . He’s opened for Chris Stapleton, Greta Van Fleet and Nathaniel Rateliff and has graced billings for Stagecoach, Fuji Rock, Rock Werchter and more. He also recently released his own custom Gibson guitar and signature Orange guitar amplifier, the MK Ultra, which sold out before it even hit stores.

King will continue to tear up the rulebook with the release new bloodredefining the path to modern rock stardom with a timeless sound and a singular voice, equal parts fat and grit, that should soon establish him as one of the most soulful vocalists of his generation.
