Donut King partners with PlayStation to improve customer experience

Australian shopping center institution Donut King has launched a brand-to-brand partnership with global leaders in interactive digital entertainment, PlayStation, and will roll out a limited-edition range of donuts inspired by iconic PlayStation shapes, across more than 200 Donut stores. King across Australia starting today.

The partnership was activated through information that recognizes Donut King’s consumer interests around video-on-demand services, games and aggregators, and is an opportunity for the two well-known brands to partner and donate 50 000 prizes, including five PlayStation®5 consoles.

The limited edition donut range launches today with an integrated marketing campaign complete with in-person activations featuring Newcastle Knights full-back Kalyn Ponga on April 28 in Newcastle and the influencer, content creator and mum-of-four Laura Bentley on May 1 on the Gold Coast.

Donut King general manager Tom Elliott said that Donut King and PlayStation share a commitment to innovation and providing an engaging customer experience, and are excited to launch the six-week promotional period.

Through this partnership with Donut King, we are thrilled to give life to our forms and to give Australians a little taste of the PlayStation universe,” he said.

Having opened the first store in Sydney in 1981 and now having a network of 200 stores across Australia, the Donut King empire is now recognized around the world, employing franchisees in New Zealand, the UK and in Indonesia.

For the next six weeks, Donut King customers will be able to enjoy a limited-edition box PlayStation® donuts and enter the draw to win one of five PlayStation 5‘s, plus other prizes including DualSense™ wireless controllers, 12-month PlayStation Plus subscriptions, new PlayStation 5 games and thousands of hot cinnamon donuts.
