King’s Lynn Soccer Club edge closer to league title

King’s Lynn Soccer Club are just one game away from stealing the Division 1 title from Watlington in the final weeks of the season.

They hosted Docking on Saturday and triumphantly beat them 15-2 with Thomas Wagg scoring six to take his season tally to 50 goals in just 18 games.

KLSC FC now travel to Denver for their final game of the season, knowing that a win will give them the league title on goal difference.

Elsewhere in Division 2, Birchwood moved up to fourth in the table with a 2-1 win over Marshland Saints.

Kieran Mackender and substitute Dion Evans scored the decisive goals.

Ingoldisthorpe have now been successfully crowned Division Two champions after an 8-3 win over reserves KLSC FC. Dylan Ess found the net four times for the winners, while Daniel Berry and Harry Daw were among the consolation scorers for Soccer Club.

Terrington picked up two wins in just three days beating Clenchwarton 7-1 on Thursday and Dersingham Development 6-1 on Saturday.

Ben Harris scored twice against the latter.

Castle Rising warmed up for their cup final on Wednesday night with a 3-2 win at home to Docking Reserves.

Matthew Pearson, Chay Sharpin and Jack Matkin all found the net during the game.

Finally, a special mention goes to the Woottons, who recorded their first win of the season on Tuesday night, beating top division Denver 6-2.

They will now move on to the next round of the George Graver Cup.
