Knight’s Tale postponed to end of April

NeocoreGames announced this week that it has decided to postpone the release of King Arthur: A Knight’s Tale back at the end of April. The game was originally supposed to be released on March 29, but it has now been changed to April 26, 2022. According to the developers, they will use the extra time to “improve voice acting and localization, in addition to finalizing testing, ensuring players have the best and smoothest launch experience possible.” We’ll see if the extra month is worth it when the game releases in six weeks.

You are Sir Mordred, the sworn enemy of King Arthur, the former dark knight of dark tales. You killed King Arthur, but with his dying breath he cut you down. You are both dead – and yet you are both alive. The Lady of the Lake, ruler of the mystical Isle of Avalon, has brought you back to end a true nightmare. She wants you to go on a knightly quest. She wants you to finish what you started. Kill King Arthur – or whatever he became after she took his dying ship to Avalon.

Experience a unique hybrid between turn-based tactical games and traditional character-driven RPGs! This dark fantasy take on Arthurian mythology invites you to manage a team of heroes on the dangerous battlefield, while engaging in moral choices, hero management, and the rebuilding of Camelot. Explore a land of nightmares where dastardly monsters and magical creatures lurk in castles and forests. The battle between Arthur and Mordred resulted in death, with the two falling at each other’s hands, and now the aftermath is unfolding. Arthur, resurrected in Avalon, is now an eternal Mad King, his pain slowly turning this magical place into a nightmarish version of Britannia. You are Mordred, brought back to life to find Arthur, and ultimately kill him to end this cursed condition.
