The 5 Song Project features songs that are an expression of their home church movement, MyLocal

Nashville-based band Local Sound’s new project, “To The King,” is out today (Integrity Music). The five-song EP came together as an expression of the heart of Local Sound’s home church movement, MyLocal.

While being together in each other’s house week after week, scripture study and life sharing sparked the inspiration for “To The King.” The band’s team said, “Writing adoring responses to God’s faithfulness from each other’s stories, Local Sound’s music is saturated with closeness to their community, instilling a sense of family. of God through every song.

“From the project’s funk-infused title track to the slower worship on ‘On Christ,’ each song has a different feel and response to the myriad ways the band sees God in their lives as a band and as a group. ‘church. “To The King” is a call to go beyond listening and participate in the act of worship, and Local Sound’s hope is above all to bring listeners closer to Jesus.

Local Sound is a movement born out of the Nashville-based MyLocal house church movement. More than a band, Local Sound is a group of culture makers using art and community “to build the kingdom of God in today’s society”.

The ‘local’ within Local Sound talks about the roots of who they are: “fully supporting God’s dream of ‘local church’ and believing that God – the creator of the original culture – designed the church to immerse the world in its eternal culture.

“The ‘sound’ is a reflection of their heart to unite the word of God with highly energetic and innovative music that reaches society. Passionate about a call to spread the gospel through relevant and inspiring melodies, Local Sound expresses the joy found in a life wholly devoted to Christ and the realization of his deep love song by song.
