Just two days before Misuzulu kaZwelithini’s coronation on Saturday, Prince Mathube-Sizwe Zulu – the late king’s brother – announced that Prince Buzabazi kaZwelithini had been chosen as the preferred heir.
There are now three brothers jostling for the monarchy.
However, Prince Mathube-Sizwe denounced Prince Simakade’s claim to the throne and warned of the impending kraal ritual of King Misuzulu.
“There is a royal family, it’s a house with great members but the ruling family, the late king, it’s our brother, who told us everything. It’s a shame because the people who made all these things don’t know exactly what is They’re only coming out now saying they know,” the prince said.
