Tickets for The Deer King are on sale now, English dub trailer released

GKIDS has announced that tickets for The deer king are now on sale and have released a new trailer showing the English voices.

Tickets for the screening of the film are available on the Fathom Events website, the movie website, and at participating counters. Tickets are available for the dubbed and subtitled versions of the film, as well as the two fan preview events. Previews will take place on July 13 (English subtitled) and July 14 (English dubbed). These special events will not only feature the film, but also a special introduction from director Masashi Ando. Following this, The deer king will have a limited theatrical release in select parts of the country starting July 15.

Along with announcing that tickets are now available, the film’s English cast has been revealed alongside a trailer that features the English voice cast, which you can check out below.

“In the aftermath of a brutal war, former soldier Van toils in a mine controlled by the ruling empire. One day, his lonely existence is turned upside down when a pack of wild dogs carrying a fatal and incurable disease attacks, leaving only Van and a young girl named Yuna as survivors,” reads the film’s synopsis. Free at last, the pair seek a simple existence in the countryside but are pursued by nefarious forces. Eager to protect Yuna at all costs, Van must uncover the true cause of the plague ravaging the kingdom and its possible cure.
